- Bake the cake layers in two 9" layers.
- While the cake layers are baking and cooling, make the White Chocolate Frosting
- When cake layers are cool split each into two layers
- Stack the cake layers, putting 1/2 can of cherry pie filling between each layer. Leave the top layer with no cherries on it
- Frost the sides of cake with the frosting coming up and over the top by about 1/2 or 3/4 inch all the way around
- Pipe large (tip 2D) stars around the edge on top of the overlapped frosting
- Use the last 1/2 can of pie filling to fill the top inside of the surrounding stars
