Almond Joy Cake
   

I like to bake the cake a little drier than I normally do. That way when the coconut almond filling soaks into the cake it won't fall apart when you try and serve it. To make this into a 'Mounds Cake' leave out the almonds and almond extract.

                                   

Ingredients
1 Recipe - Black Magic Cake
1 Recipe - Coconut Almond Filling
1 Recipe - Fudgy Chocolate Frosting



Instructions
  • Bake cake in 9x13 pan
  • While cake is baking prepare Coconut Almond Filling
  • When cake finishes baking poke 15 holes in it with a wooden spoon handle
  • Pour filling on top and spread evenly to sides of pan
  • Allow cake and filling to completely cool
  • When cake is cool prepare Fudgy Chocolate Frosting
  • Pour over cake and spread evenly to sides of pan
