Andrea was in 6th period band again this year. She began the year in first chair and stayed first chair throughout the year.

This year they have been able to perform several times:

  • Pep Rallies:
    During football season the band played at several pep rallies.

  • Football Games:
    The band played at a high school game on the field with the high school band.
    They also played in the stands at one of the junior high games.

  • Christmas Parade:
    On December 4 several of the 7th and 8th grade band members, including Andrea, performed with the High School band at the Christmas parade.

  • Christmas Concert:
    On December 7, the Symphonic Band (6th period) played the following pieces:
          We Three Kings and all that Jazz
          Thematic Variations on Dona Nobis Pacem
          Jeanette, Isabella
          Trombones On The Housetop
          Santa of Seville

  • University Interscholastic League
    Region VI
    Concert & Sightreading Contest

    Class CC Varsity
    On Friday, April 15 the band performed at Ector County Junior High. They received a 1-1-1 in Concert and a 1-2-2 in Sightreading. The pieces they performed were:

   On May 21 the band went to Fiesta Texas for their yearly trip. They left the Jr High parking lot at 5:00am and arrived back the next morning at about 12:30am.
