   My mother has a recipe close to this one. It uses 2 C of flour and 1 C of nuts. Otherwise it is exactly the same. This recipe is a little less oily. If using a food processor, be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl periodically. Be sure not to scrape off parts of your spatula into the dough with the blade (don't ask... :^).
   This recipe makes about 5 dozen.

                                   

Ingredients
3/4 C - Nuts, finely chopped
1 C - Butter, softened
1/2 C - Powdered Sugar
1 t - Vanilla
1/4 t - Salt
2 1/4 C - Flour
Powdered Sugar for coating



Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Chop nuts finely in bowl of food processor.
  • Add butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt and combine.
  • Add flour and combine well.
  • Shape dough into 1" balls and place on pans.
  • Bake for about 9 or 10 minutes.
  • Remove from parchment and roll in powdered sugar.
  • Cool completely on wire racks.
  • When cool, roll in powdered sugar again.
