Melt-In-Your-Mouth Sugar Cookies
   


                                   

Ingredients
1 C - Butter (softened)
1 C - Oil
1 C - Sugar
1 C - Confectioner's Sugar (sifted)
2 - Eggs
1 t - Vanilla
    5 1/2 C - Flour
1 t - Baking Soda
1 t - Salt
1 t - Cream of Tartar



Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine butter, oil, sugar and confectioner's sugar, beating well at medium speed.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Combine Flour, Baking Soda, Salt and Cream of Tartar.
  • Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture slowly while continuing to beat.
  • Beat until well blended.
  • Shape into 1 inch ball.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes and cool on wire racks. Makes about 8 dozen.
