Christmas Cookies
   

Wine can replace the grape juice in this recipe. This recipe makes 15 to 20 dozen cookies.

                                   

Ingredients
1/2 C - Oleo
1 C - Brown Sugar
4 - Eggs
3 T - Buttermilk
1/2 C - Grape Juice
    3 C - Flour
3 t - Baking Soda
1 t - Cloves
1 t - Cinnamon
1 t - Allspice
2 lbs - Pecans (chopped)
1 lb - Candied Pineapple
1 lb - Candied Cherries
1/2 Box - White Raisins



Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease cookie sheets
  • Cream oleo and sugar together until creamy
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well between additions
  • Add buttermilk and grape juice, beating until incorporated
  • Sift together flour, soda, cloves, cinnamon and allspice
  • Add to wet mixture and beat until combined
  • Add pecans, candied pineapple and cherries and raisins and stir until combined
  • Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheets and bake for 15-20 minutes
  • Remove immediately from cookie sheet and cool completely before storing
