Caramel Apple Cake
   

This cake is pretty sweet and rich. There is a caramel sauce that forms underneath the cake. You can double the recipe and bake it in a 9x13" pan. It is very good served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

                                   

Ingredients
2 - Medium Cooking Apples (2 C)
1 1/2 C - Original Bisquick
2/3 C - Sugar
1/2 C - Milk
1 T - Lemon Juice
3/4 C - Brown Sugar
1/2 t - Cinnamon
1 C - Boiling Water



Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease 9x9x2" pan.
  • Peel and slice apples (should be 2 cups).
  • Mix Bisquick and sugar in medium bowl.
  • Stir in milk until blended.
  • Pour into prepared baking pan.
  • Top with apples and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
  • Pour boiling water over all. Don't stir!
  • Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
